Come Visit Us At The

Hey y’all!

We hope you’re doing well and came out of the August storms in one piece. As promised in recent newsletters, we're excited to bring you some updates and opportunities to get involved in your local Democratic Party.

1. NC Hot Sauce Festival - Saturday, September 9th, 11am-5pm

Join us this Saturday, September 9th, at the NC Hot Sauce Festival. Come see us at Booth 76! It’s just toward town from the Oxford United Methodist Church on the same side of the street. We'd love to see you. Our booth/tent will be located right on College St, across from Oxford's Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor by the Hopz-n-Habaneros Area.

It's a fantastic chance to meet fellow Democrats, learn about our initiatives for 2023 and 2024, and enjoy a spicy day out. Stop by our tent, say hello, and grab some stickers or some cool swag!

We would love it if you RSVPed at this Mobilize link to give us a heads up!

2. Precinct Organizing Event - Save the Date! Tuesday, September 26th at 6pm

We're gearing up to organize all 15 local precincts in Granville County to make our voices heard. Mark your calendars for a crucial Precinct Organizing Event on September 26th at 6pm, where we'll discuss how you can play a pivotal role in shaping the future of your community. We’ll also be reigniting a number of a caucuses, depending on interest.

Special guests will include NC Democratic Party Chair Anderson Clayton, and our State Senator Mary Wills Bode. Plus, we are honored to have Senator Rachel Hunt and Judge Allison Riggs join us to discuss their ongoing campaigns.

More details to come soon! We’ll send a Mobilize link with location information asap. In the meantime, mark your calendars and plan to join us. Together, we're stronger.

3. Executive Committee Meeting with Municipal Candidates - September 11th

We have a Planning Meeting with the Municipal Candidates set for September 11th. During which, the candidates will be given questions to fill out that will be be put on our Voter Toolkit later on to help you learn about the candidates more. Check out the Voter Toolkit in the coming weeks as more information becomes available about the Municipal Elections.

Your involvement in these events and initiatives is vital to our success. Together, we can create a Granville County that is welcoming and equitable and thriving.

Let's work together for a brighter future. See you soon!!

Spicy & democratic regards,

Shannon Fleming
